Yr1:Life Drawing - week2

So after 3 years of life drawing and becoming an extra life addict, there comes a time in your life when the teacher says "I love your style and how expressive it is, but it's not gonna work" time to learn how to use lines instead of mass.... this is gonna be fun! here's my attempt at cleaning up and making it work.... lets hope these are the worst of the bunch it it all goes up hill from here

Studying...

After spending a whole day animating on after effects for work, i needed to pick up a pencil and do some drawing... I have been studying Milt Kahl: the little boy is based off one of his drawings, and then I decided to work on my own, using no reference but working for the amazing emotion that Milt has in his work. LOVE expession and emotion in characters so I'm really trying to capture that organically so it never looks over worked.... wish it was as easy as it sounds...

Animal Doodles

I normally have major anxiety around animals... aka, I hate them. I draw them weekly at the ROM, and Yes, im still scared of the dead taxidermy animals.  So i always end up drawing the same ones, the ones right near the exit that have nothing hanging from the ceiling above them. Gotta branch out and somehow get myself to walk into the zoo. but for now, i decided to work with what i have and try a new spin on the animals I do draw... Im working on caricaturing the animals. Stay tooned for my breakthrough Zoo trip. it's happening
