Yr1:Painting- Novel Interior

We had to paint an interior scene from a novel. I chose a quotation from "Coraline"that  talks about how she is sitting in a boring room, looking out into an amazing world. I really liked the part that said "The sky never seemed so sky, and the world never seemed so world"-dont know what it was but it really inspired me... so here it is. 

7x10, gouache on watercolor paper. 

Yr1:Painting- Mood Painting

We had to paint the same scene twice, in different color schemes, meant to portray different moods. I spent weeks planning and painting a forest in different reds, greens and blues, a landscape of a farm with a little fence in different times of the day,changing the lighting etc. and i just wasnt happy with any of the results. But i persevered and fought my battle with my paintings and here's what i came up with. Not super pleased with the results, but they were kept for the wall, so I'm happy with that...4th  set of paintings to make the wall. Can't complain.

Yr1:Animation- Animal Walk

Here's the first part of my animal walk assignment, i chose a black bear and made his walk cycle. Im hoping to do a run as well as part of a collaboration with my classmate and partner in crime JP. I will post it when its done... but for now, here's the walk.

Yr1:CharacterDesign- Character Timeline

Meet Lola, a squirrel with bigger dreams than her home town has to offer. We had to create an Anthro character and then draw them throughout the different stages of their lives, as they grow from a baby to an elderly person. Had a lot of fun with her.. and learned a thing or two about cleanup. Its all hand drawn and cleaned up on col-erase pencil and scanned in.

Gotta fix these feet. Don't know why I cannot wrap my head around them. But, in better news, my grade went up again! Even though Thurman always says not to expect a grade raise even if your work has improved, I went up by another 1%. Onwards and upwards.
