Just some warmup gestures from the week... Starting to get back Into the swing of things and get that line back.

Had to render the same scene 3 times, once realistic(ish)ly, the second in unnatural textures, and the third in your own style

It was a Painful first week back... 3 weeks without LifeDrawing does a nice little number on my ability to draw. Gotta get back into the swing of things

when I handed in my last portfolio, the prof told me not to throw any of my drawings out, which is his usual suggestion for the drawings we don't hand in, so I thought id share the ones I kept. The chopstick drawings were my favourite excersize of the year and I really liked the results. And there's a few others in here too.

Fell a little behind on updating the blog with the end of first semester. This is my second portfolio from first semester. I was pretty happy w it considering that Thurman told us that even though everyone improved, most people's marks would either stay the same or go down since he had higher expectations for this one, and my mark went up.still gotta work on my hand and feet, and cleaning up my line work, but considering how saturated my lines were when I started the semester, he was pretty impressed. If you look closely, you can see the timing for the drawings, and the correction that are made in red. The first drawing and last are drawn in ink with a chopstick. Fingers crossed for this semester.
